Hall, finished by hand and heightened with gum arabic, several with publisher's Minerva head blind-stamp, all mounted and contained within modern cloth drop-back box, 353 x 483mm., [British Racing Prints pp.121-122], folio, 1827-43 . Fine series of classic racing prints from Herring's two series of St Leger and Derby winners, comprising: Rowton, Birmingham, Chorister, Margrave, The Queen of Trumps, Charles XII, Nutwith, Mameluke, Cadland, Dangerous, Little Wonder, and Attila. Provenance: Norman Bobins (bookplate). Mameluke with ink stamp of Duc d'Orleans.
