Hallmarked with a crescent moon and crown for Germany
With purity mark ‘800’ and two unidentified marks

Good condition
This chased lidded silver bowl with handles was made in Germany around 1890. It is elaborately adorned with fruit and rocaille décor which is situated on the lid as well as the wall of the bowl. There are further stylistic elements of the classical, such as the bow and a detailed rose creates the pommel that sits on top. The décor is chased in relief as well as finely chiseled and the letter “K” is monogrammed on the lid.
The silver bowl is in good condition with slight traces of wear and age. The height is approximately 16 cm and the circumference is 61 cm. The overall weight is 837 grams. It bares the hallmarks of the crescent moon and crown for Germany as well as the purity mark “800” and two unidentified marks. (khe)
