This regulator was made by Dom Gong (formerly Gustav Becker) in Freiburg in Silesia in c. 1910. It especially delights with its carved and turnery walnut veneer casing. The clock has an enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals, openwork hands, a chased brass midfield and a brass fronton with floral applications. The large decorative brass pendant also shows a pretty floral décor.
The clock is overall in good condition, showing slight wear. The wood displays some drying cracks on the face side. On the left side, the cover cloth is worn. The top pieces feature traces of an inactive woodworm infestation. During a short-term test, the clock was functional, but long-term precision and regularity cannot be guaranteed. The clock comes without winding key. The overall dimensions are approximately 100 × 42 × 20 cm. (cko)
