Sale Highlite! 6 ¾” Hopewell Blade, Knife River Flint, excavated by Henry Shetrone from the Hopewell Mound Group, Ross Co. Ohio – given as a gift to Gilbert Dilley while they were on vacation in Florida in the late 1950’s. This was sold at the Dilley Sale, at Old Barn Auction on March 15, 2008. It is pictured on the cover of catalog and page 1 of the catalog. The Piece sold for $21,000 at the time, a copy of the Old Barn Catalog and other Dilley Information is included with the artifacts, this blade is surely one of the most important mound finds found in Ohio and is of exceptional workmanship!
