Description
Newcomb College Art Pottery "Ali Baba" Jar, 20th c., in a ribbed design with blue high glaze, the bottom marked with the Newcomb cypher, H.- 2 1/4 in., Dia.- 1 3/8 in.
Condition
Condition consistent with age. There are two inconsistencies noted to the rim; one appears to be a pin head size chip to the outer glaze, the second appears to be a firing flaw. An approximate ½ in. hair line crack is noted running from the rim towards the body and a second is noted measuring approximately 1/8 in. The base rim has some firing bubble texture. The stamp is clear. The interior is observed with some mild dust debris. A stellar example.
