Group of Three Polychromed Staffordshire Figures on Horseback, mid 19th c., consisting of "Louis Napoleon," "Queen Mary," and "Empress of France" Louis Napoleon - H.- 12 1/2 in., W.- 8 1/2 in., D.- 3 1/2 in. (3 Pcs.)
Condition
Condition consistent with age. All pieces are observed with dust debris within the crevices. The Louis Napoleon is observed with notable firing cracks at the neck, the horse’s chest and at the base. The Empress has firing cracks noted to the area at the back of the dress and horse’s blanket, and at the base. The Queen has heavy craquelure to the back. All pieces are observed with a consistent crackle to the glaze, and have heavy notable wear to the gilt and paint throughout. A nice trio.
