A beautiful silver plated kaleidoscope made by Van Cleef & Arpels, with a mechanism created by Van Cort Instrument Makers. The kaleidoscope comes with a red suede Christie's pouch, as it was purchased at Christie's, Los Angeles.
From the late 1970’s, Van Cort Instruments have designed and manufactured some of the finest optical devices throughout the USA, Europe and the Far East. Of particular interest are kaleidoscopes, which became a Van Cort signature collectible. Erik Van Cort’s workshop continues to design and manufacture special limited editions and has completed projects for world famous museums including the Smithsonian in Washington D.C.
