Pair of Provincial Louis XV Fruitwood Fauteuils, late 18th century, each with a caned back surmounted by a shell and foliate crest, joined by scrolling foliate-carved arms to the padded seat, raised above a shell-carved apron on cabriole legs ending in scrolled toes, h. 38".

Both are in good sturdy condition. Minor shrinkage to the joints from age. Nicks and dings from use. Scattered minor inactive wormholes. The caned backs are fine. The seats were originally caned but now upholstered over.
