Antique heliogravure on heavy wove paper after Marie-Francois Firmin-Girard. "Homes by the Sea", on the Brittany coast; summer visitors at the thatched cottage of a fisherman, whose wife is mending the nets, and whose children are staring at the prosperous strangers. This impression is well more than 120 years old. This is not a modern reprint but was hand pulled from the copper plate late 1880's. (Image size 7 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches). Double matted and framed in a solid wood moulding. Frame dimensions 15 1/2 x 18 1/2 inches. This print is in excellent condition. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
