Description
Produced between 1964 - 1968 the Porsche 911SWB is the genesis for arguably the most iconic sportscar of all time. The early design is regarded by enthusiasts and collectors alike as the purest design with a DNA still very apparent fifty years later.
Offered here is a very original 1967 911SWB from the second year of production with many features of the early production cars. Supplied new by Porsche Inc. USA and finished in Sand beige with black interior the original selling dealer was Vasel Polak of California. It was imported into the UK in 1998 as a very well preserved example with only 41,000 miles showing on the clock and still complete with original features including green lettering dials, wood rim steering wheel and Blaupunkt ‘Frankfurt' radio. In 1999 the engine was subject to a very expensive full rebuild by JZ who recorded at the time it had done little running. There is a ‘Dynoplot' read out showing the rebuilt engine to produce a very healthy 130.9 BHP. They also confirmed it to be the original engine and gearbox. The complete unit has only covered approximately 30,000 miles since and comes with full photographic evidence and invoicing from JZ. It comes with a full MOT and a duplicate V5 has been applied for.
With Porsche 911 values showing the strongest investment potential this is a very unpretentious SWB you would be proud to own at todays guide. Its very presentable with the prospect of further input to produce something very special in a period combination..... we certainly ‘get it'!
