Black ink on irregularly-shaped section of French newsprint, laid down on paper, sheet of studies, attributed to/in the manner of Pablo Picasso (1881-1973). Circa 1925-1935. Signed. Having pencil inventory notations (in another hand), lower left corner of paper mount. Small areas of foxing and toning to obverse; areas of foxing to reverse. Dimensions of mounting sheet: 12 1/2 x 9 3/8 inches. Unframed.

Provenance: Almost certainly given to the consignor's father by his long-time friend, Monsieur Hubert de Saint-Senoch (Paris), the esteemed French collector. Thence by descent to the present owner, ca. 1997. [A single newspaper sheet from 1945, having sketches attributed to or in the manner of Pablo Picasso, separated into four sections and having the same Saint-Senoch provenance, was sold in these salesrooms in December 2013.]
