Description
DESCRIPTION: This is an American handmade redware food gelatin pate mold from New England circa 1700s. With the settlement of the first colonies in the seventeenth century, people required basic household utilitarian wares, and early colonial potters used local clays to make redware pottery. This redware mold is of a New England lobster. The early mold is of exceptional large form with a footed base. The redware lobster mold is thick and heavy with a very detailed and exceptionally clear imprint. MEASUREMENTS: 12 inches long, 5 inches high, and 6 inches wide.SHIPPING: Packaging, handling, and shipping for all locations in the 48 Continental United States is $25.
