In 1852, the watchmaker Constant Girard founded the Girard & Cie Firm in La Chaux-de-Fonds. He, then, married Marie Perregaux and the Girard-Perregaux Manufacture was born in 1856. c.2002 Girard-Perregaux Ferrari 18ct Gold Rattrapante Split seconds Chronograph with a 37.5mm Case and solid back marked Ferrari and serial no.147. The dial is silver with gold hour markers and gold hands. The complicated split seconds chronograph has three silver sub-dials with blue hands and dual seconds hands(split seconds). The strap is a brown Gerard Perregaux with a gold buckle engraved with the prancing horse. It has a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The movement is an automatic with a split seconds chronograph stopwatch. The watch is a piece of art and the gold case sets it apart from the rest!
