Description
This is a very rare Italian manufactured model of the Alfa Romeo Tipo B/P3 raced by Tazio Nuvolari. It was introduced during the 1932 Grand Prix season and won its first race and went on to win six Grand Prix that year including France, Germany and Italy. It was the first genuine single seater Grand Prix car and was extremely light.
This is a superb, hand-built model almost entirely in metal, produced from the original drawings at Alfa Romeo.
Fabulous detail underneath of the steering, suspension and braking systems, opening bonnet on both sides and working steering.
It comes in its original packaging and box with a brochure about Casadio and the model. Also included is a very rare framed photo of the Alfa Romeo P3 No.8 with Nuvolari standing by the car. A Tipo B/P3 recently won the pre-war event at the Monaco Grand Prix Historique.
