Description

NICHOLAS LUTZ-STYLE GLASS DIPPING PENS, LOT OF TWO, each comprising a very deep amethyst shaft below a colorless with white stripes extension, and short ribbed nib. Slender example with additional cobalt blue extension and opaque white finial with robin's egg blue beads; the other with additional green extension and cobalt blue finial with opal-cased pink beads. Nicholas Lutz, Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. and others. Second half 19th century. 6 1/8" and 6 3/4" LOA.

Condition

Each with a flake to point of the nib.
