Francisco Zúñiga [by or after] (Costa Rican/Mexican, 1913 - 1998). "Mujer Sentada con Rebozo Sombrero". Bronze sculpture with turquoise and brown patina. 1973. Inscribed "Zuniga" and dated in the bronze. Edition unknown, presumed small, probably 10. Fine, quality casting. Very good condition. On a polished marble plinth, in very good condition save the expected wear and scattered small losses to the edges. Provenance: Private collection, Mexico City. One of an extensive collection of Zuniga bronzes. Probably cast from the original mould. Dimensions of sculpture: 11 3/8" height x 8 5/8" width x 5 15/16" depth (285mm x 212mm x 152mm).
