Description
A nineteenth-century Central European pewter plate, hand-engraved with a folk art scene. The scene depicts a farm, in which a woman is washing a man's hands with a pitcher; behind her is a well, a house is on the right, and sheep and a cow in the foreground. Country unknown (region: Central European), 19th century; marked with three worn stamps on the verso (illegible). Dimensions: approx. 8-1/4" diameter; 1/2" H.
Condition
Age appropriate wear to the pewter; some discoloration and scratches. Some residue on verso, possibly from glue from adhesive tape.
