A text by Moshe Dayan. 27 illustrated lithographs by Raymond Moretti and printed by the Art-Litho Studio in Paris, and directed by Jean-Claude Perrin. Publishers: Armand and Georges Israel. Calligraphy for the Hebrew text was entrusted to an outstanding Jerusalem calligrapher by the name of Asher Amar. Bindings and covers, executed in fine materials, leather, linen cloth and wood. The binding is made out of a single piece of ox-hide, representing the fact that ancient manuscripts were protected by skins of this type and the wood clasp with which the book is fastened, represents the arrows used by the warriors in the period of Masada. These works have been strictly limited, throughout the world, to 298 copies for the French edition and 298 for the English edition. Measures 22 1/2" long x 16" wide. Excellent condition.
