GILROY ROBERTS (PA, 1905-1992); "The Great American Eagle", bronze on black lacquered wooden plinth, Franklin Mint 1975 limited edition 1977/2000 (marked on back), marked under wing "R, 75". Brass tag on back gives title. 14 1/2" tall, 20" wing span, roughly 11" deep. Fine condition. As Chief Engraver of the US Mint, Roberts designed one of the most popular coins in US history, the John F. Kennedy Half Dollar.
