THREE MASK-NETSUKE
Ivory. Japan, Taisho- to Showa-period
Quite a delicate small group of masks. One of them depicts the head of the luck-deity Daikoku, wearing a round cap. Signed on the back, Harusui. Another offers a man with slid down glasses, and the third, the expressive face of Beshimi. The latter two masks are signed on inlays, Gyokko or Gyokusai – all three of them bear a small outlined Himotoshi.
