Description
Included is a full page color Elvis Presley promotional pamphlet from 1968 which contains a Christmas greeting from Elvis and the Colonel in which the Colonel is dressed as Santa. This pamphlet was distributed by Singer stores, the company that sponsored the Elvis television special. Also offered is a one-page black-and-white advertisement for the Elvis television special from the December 4, 1968 issue of Variety and two copies of a two-page typed song list for the show (one list contains corrections and handwritten additions in blue ink) dated June 3, 1968. This date is two weeks before the director, Steve Binder, developed the idea of having Elvis sit down for the live performance, which is now the hallmark of the show. Acquired from the Graceland Auction in 1999 and accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.
