American - Birmingham, Alabama, born 1950. Paint on paper. Of diving figure in black paint, on colorful marbleized background. Signed, lower right, "LH '91." Exhibited in the 1992-93 Wake Forest University, N.C. exhibit, "Diving in the Spirit." With photograph of artist with the painting and exhibit info. Holley has works at the High Museum of Art (GA) and the American Folk Art Museum, and his work has been displayed at the White House. 9" x 12" s.s., in grey metal frame to 12 1/2" x 15". From the collection of Howard and Anne Smith of Mayodan, North Carolina.
