Description These Eisenhower Silver Dollars come in blue envelope-style cases with the words "1971 Eisenhower Uncirculated Silver Dollar" emblazoned on the front, in addition to the seal of The Department of the Treasury. Inside the folds of the envelope is a plastic package containing an Eisenhower dollar and a double sided coin - blue with silver lettering and patterning, reading "Eisenhower Uncirculated Silver Dollar" as well as the American Eagle holding the arrows and the olive branch.

History In 1971, the Eisenhower Dollar was added to the Proofing sets, alongside the half-dollar, quarter, dime, nickel, and penny. This was the year Nixon officially signed the bill allowing for the printing and minting of commemorative currency after its banning due to misuse.
