History: Written in Swedish.John Alexander Lönnegren, born 12 December 1878 in Lulea , died in 1949 , was a Swedish journalist and businessman. He was the son of lecturer August Valfrid Lönnegren and Ester Maria Elmstedt. John Lönnegren studied at Uppsala University 1897-1902, took less jur.prel.ex. 1897, BA. 1901. He was then a teacher at Nordic agriculture school in Hagaberg at Jönköping at PJ Rösiö 1902-03. In 1916 he became a Ph.D. in Greifswald . Lönnegren was employed by the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet in several years from 1903, during which he had a chance of being a correspondent in London and Berlin . Between 1916-19, he was news editor at Aftonbladet . He was also publisher of the Swedish Motor Magazine 1906-07. He used the signatures JAL, JL, Nevermind and Mais. During the Finnish Civil War he was engaged in the white matter and was a member of the Association of Finnish friends . He received the Freedom Cross of third grade in 1918. [1] Lönnegren was also active in the economy, including that of AB Edison Kinetophon 1914, and from 1922 he was to be regarded as an independent businessman. In 1924 he became Brazilian vice consul and in 1931 he was employed at the Brazilian legation in Stockholm .
