Gold Pendant
Description: The pendant is made to dangle either from its chain or from the pin attached(later addition) to its verso. All along the intricately crafted gold lines are ruby insets, creating a pink/red cover that draws the eye and brings out the color of the gold in ways that are complimented by the emerald drops hanging from four cardinal points on the pendant. At the very top of the pendant, where it is joined to the gold chain, a single faceted emerald sits inlaid in a gold clasp. The 14kt gold chain is made simply, with no major adornments done to it that takes away from the smooth aesthetic of it.Emeralds: Carved Teardrop 12 x 8mm, 3 others are drilled for fastening 5,6 & 7 mm L., the top emerald is the highest quality stone and is an emerald cut 6 x 5mm and bezel set.Rubies: All are faceted, close back set the largest 3mm, the smallest 1mm.An extraordinary piece, Spanish in origin.
