Title & Description: This watercolor and gouache painting shows two ships, lightship 71 and a motor yacht passing each other. The primary colors being blue and red, with white highlights. The ocean seems relatively calm, the waves rippling against the sides of the ship and the smaller boat. The men on the larger ship appear to be hailing the boat, who respond in turn with uplifted arms. An American Flag trails off the back of the smaller boat, the stern displaying "Swat-Em New York" while the side of the ship has the number 71.
