Description
1993 vintage
Margaux, Bordeaux/France
Original filling quantity: 1.5 l
Fill level: into neck
This lot comprises two magnum bottles of 1993 vintage Château d’Issan from the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux.
Margaux is located in MĂ©doc and is one the finest appellations in France. Ernest Hemingway was so fond of Margaux wine that he named his daughter after it. The most widely used grape variety is Cabernet Sauvignon, which is always blended with other varieties like Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The wines are long-lasting and should only be savored after several years of proper storage.
Although it rained occasionally in Bordeaux during 1993, the vintage is today viewed as being underrated and full of surprises.
The fill levels are excellent (into neck). The labels and capsules are in perfect condition.
