This lot comprises one original wooden case with six bottles of 1990 vintage Château Hosanna from the Pomerol appellation in Bordeaux.
Pomerol is along with Saint-Émilion one of the best-known and most popular appellations on the right bank of the Gironde. In contrast to Médoc, the most widely used grape variety here is Merlot. The wines are more elegant and can be enjoyed sooner than the Cabernet Sauvignon blends but most do not have the same aging potential.
2000 was a very successful vintage in Bordeaux – ideal weather conditions during the harvest resulted in powerful wines rich in tannins that are still in the process of maturing today.
The 2000 vintage Hosanna was last rated by the American wine critic Robert Parker in 2003, when he awarded it 96 points. Swiss Bordeaux expert René Gabriel gave the wine a rating of 19 out of 20 points.
The fill levels are excellent (into neck). The labels, capsules are in perfect condition.
