This lot comprises twelve bottles of 2009 vintage Sister Moon from the Il Palagio wine estate in Tuscany. The Il Palagio wine estate is owned by Gordon Sumner, better known as the former singer of The Police and rockstar Sting, and his wife Trudie Styler. Although the estate is very young, its wines are already earning positive reviews from wine critics and its productivity is increasing every year. The wine is named after a Sting song, which will be music to the ears of wine and music lovers alike!

Tuscany is one of the most famous wine regions in the world. The main grape variety is Sangiovese, which comprises 75 % of a Chianti, the most prominent Italian wine. Brunello di Montalcino and Rosso di Montalcino are created entirely out of Sangiovese. The grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc were also grown since the end of the 1960s and the beginning of the 1970s. This experiment ultimately led to the creation of the so called Super Tuscans, wines with no indication of origin which used to be sold for huge sums. Meanwhile, these wines have established themselves to such an extent that the Italian wine laws were adjusted and some of these wines bear an indication of origin.

The fill levels are excellent (into neck). The labels and capsules are in perfect condition.
