Description

Theodore Milton Wassmer (American, b. 1910-2006), "Two Figures"-1987, mixed media on paper (acrylic and watercolor). Signed "Wassmer" lower right. Work depicting two figures, one at right wearing greyish brown armor like clothing with hat, light green faced woman behind man with head titled toward shoulder, also wearing hat. Verso inscribed in pencil "100% rag acid free mount with rice paste. Medium acrylic and watercolor on rice paper on Irish linen (paste used -rice) by Theodore M. Wassmer 1987". Framed 20.25" x 16.25". Image size 11" x 7.5".

Condition

Mixed media painting examined out of frame. Work in excellent condition with no signs of damage, loss or repair. Painting has been laid down onto artist's board. Uneven edges, slight bleeding in signature (appears to be original from handling of paint not from damage).
