Marked “Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Cutlers to Their Majesties, No. 6 Norfolk Street Sheffield”, the 6/8 wedge blades are deeply stamped “Improved Silver Steel” and still bear gold wash on their tangs. The incredibly ornate and very heavy handles bear a foliate design in relief on both sides with roses and thistles, and both razors are engraved with a crown and a monogram that appears to be “WW”. The handles are believed to be heavily gold washed sterling silver. In morocco leather case with checkered design, silk lined lid advertises Joseph Rodgers and indicates post-Victorian production.
