Trio comprising 1914-1915 star, silver war medal and gilt victory medal with impressed service number, name and regiment details, awarded to Private H(arry) Sampson, 1st Batallion of the North Staffordshire Regiment who died in action 4th August 1917 (some reports suggest 6th August) at the Ypres salient, Hulluch and buried in the Aeroplane Cemetery, Belgium (grave III A 45); the medals with ribbons mounted for display in a glazed custom frame and with a printout giving biographical and service details with a picture of him and images of the gravestone. 620 grams total, 24 x 18cm (frame).
