Exceedingly rare sample card of key player Tip O'Neil from the Lone Jack series. The Lone Jack set features portraits of the 1886 Brownie Champs. The set actually uses the very same portraits as appear in the N172 Old Judge Brownie Champ series, but closer cropped. Their unusual design and great rarity distinguish them as one of the most interesting of all nineteenth-century baseball issues. Superb photo quality. Clean front and back. An exceptional sample from this very rare pre-1900 tobacco set. Excellent condition. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000.
