N43 1888 Allen & Ginter Buck Ewing

Hall of Famer Buck Ewing from the rare large size N43 Allen & Ginter series. This is the key card from the set. The front of this example is bright, fresh and perfectly clean, with vibrant colors, near perfect registry, and square corners with only the slightest hint of wear. The reverse has a glue stain covering approximately one-third of the area of the back, from long ago being mounted into an album and later removed, but this stain is very light and does not obscure legibility of the reverse text. Without reference to glue stain on reverse, the card grades a solid Ex-Mt. A very attractive example of this key pre-1900 rarity. Reserve $400. Estimate $800/$1,200.
