High-grade sample card from the S.F. Hess set, which primarily features New York Giants players and is one of the scarcest of all pre-1900 card issues. This sample of Giants pitcher William George is in particularly high grade, with just a hint of wear to the lower left corner. Crisp and clean, front and back. A top quality example from one of the nineteenth century's rarest baseball card sets. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000.
