Important Notice: Please note that the format of this auction differs from a traditional eBay Live auction in that only absentee bids are accepted. There is no live "bidding on the close" in which to participate. All lots offered in this auction will close at exactly the same time, as opposed to a traditional one at a time closing of lots, and therefore there is no live "one lot at a time" bidding close in which to participate. Your left bids will compete with all other left bids by auction participants. Bids may be placed on the eBay system at any time prior to 9:00 PM EST, May 1, 2004. No bids will be recognized or accepted when the eBay Live "live bidding applet" is run early in the morning of May 2, 2004 strictly for the purpose of officially registering and recording the final auction results.

1910 Ramly Cigarettes Pittsburgh Nationals Team Composite Print

Previously undiscovered display print published by Ramly Cigarettes features portraits of 17 members of the 1910 Pittsburgh Nationals. This is a particularly exciting find, all the more so because the print includes Honus Wagner, and is a tobacco-related issue. The portrait of Wagner is, in fact, the very same as the portrait which appears on the famous T206 baseball card. The 1910 Pittsburgh Nationals finished the season in third place with an 86-67 record, led by Honus Wagner, Fred Clarke, and Tommy Leach. It is rare to find any previously undiscovered display composite, especially from the 1910 era, let alone an example with a significance relating so directly to card collecting's greatest legend. Measures an impressive 20 x 15.75 inches. The print has a few very light creases in the background, and a tiny chip in the upper left corner, but is still in overall Excellent condition. Reserve $800. Estimate $1,500/$2,500.
