Babe Ruth Signed Photograph

Spectacular sepia-toned photograph (7 x 9 inches) is boldly signed and inscribed "To My Pal, Chas. Koehler Jr. from Babe Ruth" in blue fountain pen. The signature is extremely strong, grading a solid "9" on a scale of "1 to 10." In the salutation, Ruth's pen began to run out, and he switched to a new pen. This does not affect the signature, or the even appearance of the salutation, but adds an interesting dimension of note. The photograph features Ruth at the plate, in his Yankee uniform, completing his trademark Ruthian swing. The photo may have originally had slightly larger borders, as we detect a slight waviness to the top border, though this may be exactly as the print was produced by the photographer, otherwise in strong Near Mint condition. This is a top quality in action photograph of Babe Ruth, featuring an extremely strong example of the "King of Swat's" signature. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.
