Important Notice: Please note that the format of this auction differs from a traditional eBay Live auction in that only absentee bids are accepted. There is no live "bidding on the close" in which to participate. All lots offered in this auction will close at exactly the same time, as opposed to a traditional one at a time closing of lots, and therefore there is no live "one lot at a time" bidding close in which to participate. Your left bids will compete with all other left bids by auction participants. Bids may be placed on the eBay system at any time prior to 9:00 PM EST, May 1, 2004. No bids will be recognized or accepted when the eBay Live "live bidding applet" is run early in the morning of May 2, 2004 strictly for the purpose of officially registering and recording the final auction results.

1952 NY Yankees Panoramic Team Photo Display

Extraordinary oversized panoramic team photo display of the 1952 Yankees, measuring an imposing 20 x 36 inches, long ago hung in Yankee Stadium. During the 1973 renovation of Yankee Stadium, the gallery of large Yankee team photographs which hung at Yankee Stadium were removed, and fortunately salvaged, with most eventually finding their way into the hands of collectors. These unique and very large format panoramic team photographs mounted on thick board are tremendous for display, and their provenance as former Yankee Stadium pieces give them an added dimension of significance to collectors. The 1952 Yankees finished first in the American League with a 95-59 record and went on to beat the Dodgers in the World Series. The photographic display is very clean with just a hint of restoration, primarily along the left border, mentioned strictly for the sake of accuracy, otherwise Ex-Mt. Reserve $500. Estimate $1,000/$2,000.
