T206 Walter Johnson Printing Error

Extremely unusual, possibly unique T206 printing error card features Hall of Famer Walter Johnson. This unique printing error has escaped almost all color processes of the printing process, and appears black and white and grey, with a hint of yellow in the background. The reverse is a final Sweet Caporal (350-460 series) back. This is a fascinating, and very striking, previously unseen printing error of one of the key cards from the T206 set. We believe this card was a printer's scrap and was never actually issued. It was likely hand-cut and saved from the trash by the printer or someone who worked for the printer. The card has a single crease across the front of the card, and is otherwise in clean and sharp Ex-Mt condition. Reserve $300. Estimate $600/$800.
