1911 "Inside" Baseball Game Pamphlet

A large multi-folding pamphlet produced for mailing to retailers to introduce and explain the merits of the game of "Inside" baseball by the Popular Games Co. of New York. Measuring 5 x 10 inches folded, the cover features the famous photograph of Ty Cobb sliding by Jimmy Austin at third base. The interior of the sturdy stock advertising fold-out features large black-and-white photographs of players, including seven Hall of Famers (Cobb, Wagner, Mathewson, Duffy, McGraw, Chance, and Jennings), each endorsing "Inside" baseball, as well as an illustration of the game itself. When unfolded, the advertising piece measures 19 inches square, and has the very substantial look and feel of an advertising display poster. This is the only example of this extreme rarity we have ever seen. Excellent condition. Reserve $300. Estimate $400/$600.
