1936 R301 Overland Candy Co Foxx and Kowalik

The extremely rare Overland Candy set doubled as the actual wrappers for Overland Candy. Not surprisingly, these 5 x 5.25 inch paper wrappers are usually found with folds and creases. R301s are printed in various colors, with a line drawing portrait of the player, his formal name and nickname, team, position, and career summary. This lot includes two examples: Jimmie Foxx and Fabian Kowalik. The Foxx has two very small edge tears, which is very common with this issue due to its thin stock and method of distribution, overall in Vg-Ex condition with superior eye appeal. The Kowalik is in Nr/Mt condition with no tearing, which is an unusually high grade for this fragile issue. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$800.
