Extraordinary 1926 Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball

Red and blue stitched "National League" brand baseball is beautifully signed and inscribed "To Tom Hunter, From Babe Ruth, Oct. 3rd, 1926" in blue ink on the side panel. This is a gorgeous single-signed ball, both in terms of the ball, as well as the signature and salutation. The signature and inscription grade a solid "8" on a scale of "1 to 10." The date which Ruth has added following his signature is of special significance, as October 2, 1926 was the date of Game 2 of the 1926 World Series. In 1926, Babe Ruth hit .372, and led both leagues with 47 home runs and 145 RBIs. A very attractive, high quality Ruth signed baseball, with an uncommonly impressive display value, and the added dimension of a significant date, which is rarely found on a Ruth single-signed ball. The ball is in exceptionally fine Excellent to Mint condition, with all manufacturer stampings extremely bold and clear. LOAs from Mike Gutierrez/GAI and James Spence & Steve Grad/PSA DNA.
