Circa 1935 Babe Ruth Quaker Cereal Store Display

Beautiful full color cardboard store display advertising sign (19.75 x 15.5 inches) features Babe Ruth endorsing Quaker Oats Cereal. Pictured is a selection of free gifts available as premiums by mail in exchange for box tops from Quaker's packages of Puffed Rice and Puffed Wheat cereal. In the mid-1930s, several different Quaker Oats signs featuring their star endorser Babe Ruth were produced for display in grocery stores. This may be the scarcest variety. There is some light creasing and edge wear, otherwise in Excellent condition, with extraordinary eye appeal. These signs are rarely found without having had some professional restoration. This example has had no restoration. An exceptional example of one of the most classic and substantial store display pieces of the era, featuring Babe Ruth. Framed 27 x 23 inches. Reserve $500.
