This lot includes four Negro League/Barnstorming programs from the 1940s as follows: 1) 1941 Memphis Red Sox program, 8 pages, includes photos of Longley, Taylor, and Hyde, unscored (Vg). 2) 1944 KC Monarchs vs. Chicago Brown Bombers and Chicago Firemen doubleheader two-page fold-over scorecard, features Satchel Paige on cover, unscored (Ex). 3) 1946 Bob Feller's All-Stars vs. Satchel Paige Kansas City Monarchs with Satchel Paige program, 12 pages, unscored, produced for a game played in San Diego, very clean and unusual (Ex). 4) Bob Feller's All-Stars vs. Satchel Paige's All-Stars program, with Feller on cover, very substantial 16-page program with portraits of all players, unscored (Ex). A sharp looking group of these rare and historically significant programs, three of which feature the legendary Satchel Paige. Reserve $300. Estimate $500/$1,000.
