Postcard signed by Andy Warhol in marker, Andy Warhol(1928-1987) was an American artist known for his pop-modernist images, measures 5.25"H x 6.5"W overall. As per the consignor: Warhol was doing a book signing in NYC. The consignor was told he had to buy something and stand in line if he wanted Warhol's signature. So he purchased a cheap postcard, rather than the more pricey book, and waited his turn. When he approached Warhol, the artist was very amused by this gimmick. He signed the card and ended the book signing.
