Of flattened baluster form, it is elaborately carved in relief in the front body with a landscape of a old scholar and his young attendant crossing over a bridge in a mountainous scene with pine tree issuing from rocky outcrops. The reverse is carved with landscape of mountain and house and trees. The cover is surmounted by a bud finial and the neck bears marks on both front and back all flanked by two stylized handles.
