Elvis Presley Costume Design Sketch by Donfeld from Viva Las Vegas (MGM, 1964). Gouache and pencil on board measuring 16" x 20", depicting the star wearing a yellow lapel-less jacket with a black shirt and pants, penciled annotations in the upper left corner read "Elvis Presley / as 'Lucky' / Viva Las Vegas / 'What'd I Say?' Number / MGM / 1964 / Geo. Sidney / Jack Cummings," signed in the lower right corner "Donfeld," protective paper overlay taped to verso; included with typed (though undated) letter from the designer outlining how he worked on the film, further signed by him in brown felt-tip ink in the lower right corner. Elvis wears this costume in the dance number where he sings "What'd I Say" to Ann-Margret who wears a matching yellow sleeveless dress.
