Beatles Signed Please Please Me Mono UK Early Pressing LP (Parlophone PMC 1202, 1963). Most collectors would be hard-pressed to name a Beatles item more desirable than a signed first pressing of their groundbreaking first UK album. All four of the lads from Liverpool have neatly penned their autographs in blue ink on the back cover. George and John have signed above their names in the white area at top right, Ringo has signed just beneath his name in the Tony Barrow-written liner notes, and Paul to the left of his name across the top of the track list. It was standard procedure in Britain at this time for albums to be signed on the back because the fronts were coated with a slick paper that ink didn't adhere to well. There is the name of the original owner at top left. Some roughness and light soiling, fine overall. It has been elegantly matted and framed with a modern pressing of the front cover to an overall 35.5" x 22.5". A fabulous addition to the wall of any Beatle collector.

Please Please Me was quickly released on March 22, 1963, in the UK to capitalize on the success of singles "Please Please Me" and "Love Me Do." This album was the first of what would be many chart-topping LPs released by the Beatles over a short but productive seven year period. Even after 50 years, It continues to score high on numerous Greatest Song and Greatest Album lists (including the #39 spot on Rolling Stone's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time list).
