TWO FRAMED CANADIAN SAMPLERS. Wool and silk embroidery. Made by Elizabeth and Agnes Clark Harvey of Hamilton, Canada West in1847. Verses on "Industry" and "The Rose" over trees, a building and a dog on Agnes's and roses and potted flowers on Elizabeth's. Both have vining floral borders. Minor thread loss on both. Elizabeth's has holes in the ground.17w." x 18 1/2 h". 18 1/2"w. x 20 1/2" h.
