Description

Hall Excelsior Mechanical Cast Iron Bank. Cast iron bank in the form of a building with pierced windows and door, pyramidal roof with cupola and dome; lid in the top opens up when lever by the door is pulled and exposes an original carved wooden monkey cashier seated at a desk, the figures head turns forward when the lid is open, when the coin is placed on the desk the lid closes and drops the coin into the bank. Has good original paint with “Patent Applied For 1869” on the top and paper cashier label behind the figure; by J. & E. Stevens. 5 in. high x 4 in. wide x 3.75 in. deep.
